Welcome to the Cool Schools Challenge at the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K!
The Cool Schools Challenge is an inclusive program established to have Unified Champion Schools participate in the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K while raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics New Jersey. A portion of the money raised by the schools is returned as part of a revenue share to fund future UCS programming.
The more money you raise, the more you will help your school! Every registered runner will receive a t-shirt and custom race bib. The fee to run in the Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K is $40. There is another registration type for $50, where your t-shirt and race bib will be mailed to you ahead of the event to save you time on race day.
Here is how the revenue share works. Depending on which registration type you choose, anything you fundraise over that amount earns 50% back for your school. These are two examples:
- Registered for $40 and final fundraising total is $100:
- $100 – $40 = $60 / 50% = $30 to your school!
- $100 – $40 = $60 / 50% = $30 to your school!
- Registered for $50 mailing and final fundraising total is $150:
- $150 – $50 = $100 / 50% = $50 to your school!
If your team has 20 runners who all fundraise $100 at the $40 registration type, your school will earn back $600. It’s a win-win!
