Course:

Participants will run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) USATF-certified course. The toll booths in Weehawken mark the race’s start and finish. There is a cone turnaround once participants reach the NYC side of the tunnel.

$50 Registration fee + Mailing – Save time on race day by having your race t-shirt and chipped bib mailed to you before the race. You can skip check-in and go straight to the race start!

Online Pre-registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on April 28th

Late registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on May 1st

Charitable contributions are non-refundable; the race registration fee is considered a charitable contribution and, therefore, non-refundable.

Event Schedule – Rain or Shine:

6:00 a.m. – Registration/Check-In Opens
7:30 a.m. – Warm-Up and Stretch for the first race
7:45 a.m. – Staging for the first race at the tunnel
8:00 a.m. – First race begins (Only runners who can complete the 5K in UNDER 30 mins)
8:15 a.m. – Warm-Up and Stretch for the second race
8:30 a.m. – Staging for the second race at the tunnel
8:45 a.m. – Second race begins
10:30 a.m. – Awards and refreshments

We recommend arriving early on race day to allow time to park and walk to the check-in/registration area. Parking can be found at the following locations:

Shuttle Service from NYC:

Academy Bus is providing roundtrip shuttle service from 41st between 8th and 9th Avenue.
The shuttle will pick up for the race at 6:15, 6:45, 7:15, 7:45, and 8:15 a.m. Return service to NYC will be at 10:15 and 11:00 a.m.

Incentives:

Earned incentive items will be shipped 4 – 6 weeks post-event.

Level 1 – Participants who raise $75 – $149: Stash Pack
Level 2 – Participants who raise $150 – $299: Parking Pass Incentive + Duffel Bag
Level 2 – Participants who raise $300 and up: Stanley Water Bottle

Note: A participant must raise that money independently to meet a particular incentive level. For example, if there are three people in a family and between them, they raise $100, this does not meet Level 1. Person A must pay the entry fee plus raise the balance to meet the $100 incentive level. Combined entry fees for all three family members plus the balance to meet $100 do not qualify for an incentive item.

  • Henry Barrios Memorial Award – presented to the top 3 individual fundraisers

The Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5k is officially timed by SVETiming.com powered by RM Timing Systems. You can receive race results via SMS text (must opt-in) and email. Official race times are posted within 24 hours of the race finish.
